TeaCast Prep Episode #11: Yunnan Golden Needle

Thanks to Andao Tea for sending me this via their twitter contest!

twitter.com/andaotea

Description from their website:

“Dian Hong Black Tea, otherwise known as Yunnan Gold, is the highest grade black tea found in Yunnan Province. Grown in southwestern Yunnan Province, in the well renowned Feng Qing region, this variety of tea is comprised entirely of young, slender golden buds, making for a entirely unique flavor distinct from other Gong Fu black teas such as Qimen. This tea yields a deep orange brew with a rich bodied malty flavor, and a sweet, smooth aftertaste. Yunnan Gold is no doubt a jewel yet to be discovered by many Western tea drinkers. A great tea!”

Thinking of purchasing one of these, let me know if you’d like to see it on the TeaCast :).

From Teavana.com:
Sometimes you need a larger cup of tea … and this tea cup is there for you. It holds 13oz of tea and does it beautifully with double-walled construction and an elegant handle. Made of Borosilicate glass that is stronger and more heat-resistant than conventional glassware. The clear glass design allows light to pass into the cup and illuminate the tea inside. It makes a wonderful way to enjoy a little more tea each time. Top rack dishwasher safe. Exclusive to Teavana.

it IS exclusive after all…..
